Key West!!--The Southernmost Point

We really tried to ride the Conch Train around the key but ran out of time. On the morning of our departure Dave took me on a mini tour instead. Here are some pictures of us at the Southernmost Point-only 90miles to Cuba!

Key West!!- Mallory Square

Every night is a party in Key West! The party is typically centered around the sunset. Everyone gathers in Mallory Square where there are performers and venders trying to grab your attention (and pocketbook!) Here are a few pictures of our sunset celebrations....they were a little on the mild side!

Key West!!-ARRGH Pirates!!

We had so much fun at the Pirate Soul Museum. Here are some pictures we took before we entered--they don't let you take any inside. As you can see, Jack is always holding something-a water bottle is his favorite. He has really "busy fingers" and has to have something to play with all the time. He actually walk around things like couches while holding on to that water bottle!

Key West!!-Walking with Mommy

The cruise ships dock here daily. We actually saw the cruise that departs from Jacksonville. Not a bad little deal considering they dock right in Mallory Square!

These rooters "coc a doodle doo" ALL NIGHT LONG!!
This picture is right outside the Shipwreck Museum. We didnt actually go in, but you can climb stairs that give you a perfect view of the Key.
This is really the first time Jack has noticed birds and air planes. While Dad was at the conference, Jack and I entertained ourselves by walking around. There really is so much to see. We would like to come back when Jack is a little older.

Key West!!-Duval Street!

Because we didn't have a high chair, we usually fed Jack in his stroller. He kept turning his head to look at passers-by. This is what we ended up with!

We know this sign refers to the Whiskey and can confirm that it is only milk in that bottle!
Jack now wants everything that we eat, making dining a little more interesting. He had his first taste of ice cream and he went nuts. He loves it! (who doesnt)
The sponge man is attacking mom!!

Key West!!-Our Hotel

We arrived at our hotel-the Ocean Key-at around 2pm and went directly to the pool. Jack just recently realized how to splash. (He used to take showers with Daddy but now he sits up in the tub.) The bottom two pictures are of Jack splashing on the ledge. Check out the view! Our hotel was right on Duval street (the main street) and the ocean and right next to Mallory Square. Perfect for Mom and Jack walks!

Key West!!-Driving the Keys!

Dave and Jack stretching thier legs. Jack slept all the way past Miami and woke up at Key Largo.
Jack is standing in the back seat, stretching his legs. He realized that he could pull the seat belt, and then it would retract. He found this to be hilarious. Here he is pulling and cracking up!

Dave had a convention to attend at JIATF South, so Jack and I decided to tag along (it is Key West!) We flew into Fort Lauderdale and drove around Miami and down to Key West. It was my first time visiting Key West and it was wonderful. The drive was different than we thought. We thought it was going to be a bunch on bridges between the Keys, but you are actually on land for the majority of the drive. Here are some pictures of the drive down--we only got a few!

It is finally Fall!

Well, the temperatures have finally fallen below 80! Check out these pictures of Jack at our neighborhood park. Don't ask us what he is wearing, but GEAUX TIGERS!

Go JAGS!

Cassie, Asa, and Judah came over for the Jags vs Saints game last Sunday. We had so much fun! (Although I must admit, I was secretly rooting for the Saints/ they need it more:) How cute are these two?

GO NAVY!!!!

We met up with Megan and Will to watch the Navy vs ND game! What an awesome game! GO NAVY!!!!!! and yes those are pictures of the TV, haha!

Jack's First Halloween

Dave, Jack and I went to our church's Community Fair for Jack's 1st halloween. I am not sure how much he liked it though. I think costumes and painted faces might have been scary for him (some were scary to me). We did ride the train (must have been a riding lawnmower) around the field. It was a blast:)
